Perry Reid

Perry Reid is an Indianapolis based trumpet player and music educator. Perry enjoys playing in lead/jazz as well as classical styles in the Indianapolis music scene.

After attending Carmel high school Perry attended Butler University to study music performance. Perry performed with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2008-2009, and joined the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps 2010-2012. Perry was honored to represent the Blue Devils on two international trips, and to be a featured soloist/upper lead player in the 2012 production. The Blue Devils won undefeated World Championships in 2010 and 2012 while Perry was a member.

As an active music educator Perry has worked with Central Indiana Marching Bands since 2010, including Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, Ben Davis, and HSE schools. Perry has taught with several drum corps, most recently teaching The Academy trumpet section in 2018. 

 

The Perry Reid Trumpet Studio is a 55 student strong studio composed of great musicians/students in Central Indiana. Perry teaches at the following school districts; Avon, Brownsburg, Carmel, Hamilton Southeastern, and Ben Davis students grades 6-12. 

 

As a freelance trumpet player Perry enjoys playing weddings, big bands, show choir, musicals, orchestral and church gigs in central Indiana. When not teaching or playing he enjoys golf, sim racing, and grilling.
