Stefan Roose

Hailing from Northern Indiana, and a Concord High School alum, Stefan Roose is a band director for Avon Community Schools and currently a tuba player for the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest.
Stefan completed his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Bethel University, the annual host for the Conn Selmer Institute. He has experience teaching 6th-8th grade band, choir, and general music classes. He has also instructed for dozens of marching band programs across the state of Indiana. Teaching 6-12 music is one of Stefan’s favorite age groups to instruct, as starting the process from the ground up is something he enjoys taking students through. He has taught at the DCI world class level as well for both Music City and the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.
After marrying Stacy Roose, he moved down to Indianapolis to begin his Master’s degree at Butler University in Tuba Performance. Stefan remains active as a freelance tubist, while balancing out his life as a public school band directorI. He has performed as a tubist with several professional groups including Owensboro Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic, Orchestra Kentucky in Bowling Green, Hendricks Symphony Orchestra, as well as his time with the 566th Air Force Band.
Stefan enjoys spending his time with his wife Stacy, and their son Jasper. Coffee, PC gaming, and running long distance with their pet husky are some of his favorite non-pageantry related activities.
